I'm using tiles and at least on my setup those don't work that well when looking at the map with shift-m. I would prefer to map to be as clear and informative as possible, so an ASCII-map would work best for me. Idea to consider? Toggleable option maybe?

What about an option to use tiles for terrain and ASCII for monsters?
