This is the suggestion that I like the most among the ones I have seen here. In addition, one could make Slow Digestion a bit more rare in artifacts, so that having it or not becomes a meaningful choice.--

Sure, and thematically maybe !Life is much smaller than !CLW (though they weigh the same) or is made of non-nourishing fairy dust or whatever. But I think identical nourishment across the board is more "realistic" as well as more thematic and more importantly I just don't think it's worth the player attention's attention to have to Inspect potions for their Nutritional Facts Label, potion of Slime Juice aside. Please like my indie game company on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/RatherFunGamesComment

Apparently, Nick feels we should all puke just before going into battle with Morgoth.“We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

In the absence of what might be called sensible discussion, I'm going with option 2:The re-working of slow digestion I think would not address the problem all that well; also note that slow digestion was recently significantly reduced in effect. One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

That sounds like a cool upgrade to Slow Digestion, at least mechanically. You're treated like you're always at 90% fed. The programmer would have to decide what happens when you put it on and take it off.
Thematically it seems a bit off, though. I don't recall any interesting stories with this as an element.Last edited by DavidMedley; May 23, 2020, 18:30.Please like my indie game company on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/RatherFunGamesComment

I think !Life should have the same effect as reading a scroll of remove hunger. If you're hungry, it will take you to 50%. If you have more than 50% it will have no effect. Healing and !*healing* could have the same idea, except only nourish if less than 50% fed.Beginner's Guide to Angband 4.2.3 Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9c9e2wMngM

Well, some time ago, there was a discussion of having different monster types using different pathfinding methods to reach the player. If that were ever implemented, we could make it that taking a dump aggros scent-tracking monsters but does nothing for others. But overall, it is indeed a silly suggestion.Comment
