    Artifact highlighting

Is there any way to highlight artifacts like uniques in purple?

This option(?) would increase the visibility of important items in ASCII-mode

They're already a special color for me, once known.

I think he means on the map, not in the object list window.

In object window, artifacts already show first before any other items, and in purple.

Unidentified artifacts should definitely not show on the floor by some recognizable color. If that is what you meant. Stealthy character with enlightenment would have even easier time collecting endgame stuff. There are enough artifacts already you can spot in their unid'd form. Light sources and (correct me if I'm wrong) the Rings of Power. Ruby -> Narya. Sapphire -> Vilya. Nenya flavor I don't remember.

If you're talking about highlighting already identified artifacts on the floor, I'm not sure what the gain is? Do you have object window open on your games at all?

So do you not see all the little subwindows around the main screen?
If not , use the window menu to open up little sub windows around the main screen

            By default, term-1 is history
            term-2 is inventory
            term-3 is monsters
            term-4 is objects and
            term-5 is monster memory

Although - that's all changeble through the menu.

The object list is accessible through the ']' command even with no subwindows.
The Complainer worries about the lack of activity here these days.
