    4.2.0 issue with shift-direction

    Hi there,

The other day I somehow managed to bork my current @ in a very peculiar way. Out of nowhere, when I attempt to "run" (holding shift and moving in a direction) the client will no longer attempt to disarm traps or open doors. I have to release the shift key to open the door and use 'D' to disarm the trap.

I checked all the preferences but nothing seems relevant, so I'm assuming this is some key-command toggle I accidentally triggered, but I can't figure out what it is.

    Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

    Interface option easy_open.
You can override this with the "jump" command, to set off a trap intentionally (usually trap door or teleport trap--both are cheap escapes.)

Thanks Pete! But where is the UI for that option? It's not listed in the = listing.

Quick bump to see if I can get some clarification from Pete on this.

I can't help you if it isn't in the user interface options under '='

easy_open is always on, since 3.5.0

Hmmm, i should have realized. I suspect a save file will be needed.

OK, amusing answer - it's because you're wearing the boots of Wormtongue. These give immunity to traps, so auto-disarming of traps is switched off. Currently this also prevents auto-opening of doors, which it probably shouldn't. I'll file this as a bug.

LOL! I didn't even think to put 2 and 2 together there. Thanks, Nick!
