    Pandora?

Are any of the coders here interested in the forthcoming Pandora handheld?
I'm thinking about getting one, and the prospect of *band on it would pretty much seal the deal for me.

Looks like it runs linux, so (assuming compile tools for it) the x11 port at least should work.

Would it take much work to enable movement commands via analogue nub/d-pad/touchscreen?

My guess would be that d-pad could be dealt with like arrow keys (probably in a .prf file), and the touchscreen will probably take mouse input with minimal (if any) coding effort. The analogue nub is interesting. Probably the best use would be to have it act like the numpad directions on a keyboard - I have no idea what would be involved in making it behave like that, though.

Sounds like fully mouse-capable variants have an advantage, again

Thanks Nick. All this sounds very encouraging.
