One simple fix would be to give the deeper ringwraiths a "friends" tag so that they have the shallower wraiths with them, assuming said shallower wraiths haven't already been killed of course.

Summons were changed at some pt to stop demons from summoning bigger demonic summons. Not sure about undead but presumably they were all changed. In CPBs and the like an undead summoner is liable to end up summoning all the uniques given enough chance.

Perhaps it would be thematic to add a special summon, that can summon another ringwraith but summons them to a random position in the level

So you wouldn't immediately face a bunch of rwaiths, but if you weren't quick in removing one the others would find you

What an original idea! And maybe make a hard-to-use-ID item curse that does the same thing!

This could in principle be extended, so you could have cursed items that just make it so there's 20% more monsters on each level and new monsters spawn in faster, for example. Or specifically there's more undead/faster undead spawns.

Or it could just be for ringwraiths, to keep it special.
