Also: medusa is the very first really dangerous monster in the game. There is no way you will kill her.
Sounds like I'm lucky to have a chance to teleport and get away at all. Let's hope the teleport staff works...

If that's the only comment in response to asking for opinions, you can post to other threads and not this one.

Medusa is quite dangerous and probably not worth the risk until you can dispose her easily.

Option 1: teleport, get to stairs and next level.

Option 2: teleport, and come back and use speed/slow monster/chant and see if I can kill them.

The advice here is caution right, so option 1... killing the unique Medusa not worth the risk?

One of these times my teleport staff isn't gonna work.

Ugh. Remember that ancient blue dragon teleported from?

I just found it again. So I cast chant, to get ready to see how it'd go, and it came and attacked.

But guess what, that wasn't the only message.

Medusa, the Gorgon, points at you and incants terribly! He has a friend.

Down nearly 100 HP just from that first round.

But as I mentioned, I don't have detect evil now, so no way to check.

    Stuff is getting harder now.

A death knight took me to little over 100HP, and then there was an ancient blue dragon in the same room that breathed and got me pretty low.

Did a teleport other on it, but yeesh.

Detect. See who's in the vault. Then make the call.

With my rings of damage +12 and Dex +3 and other gear having lightning protection, I should drop my ring of lightning 14 right?

The room isn't actually all that large - maybe 20 squares in an irregular shape.

But 1 shot risk doesn't seem worth it though the loot might be good.
