Problem:
Forgot my password to enter the forum by pc, thus using my iphone to get into the forum, where the login happens automatically.

To get a new password you need to know the answer to the random question, to something about ennin runin moria... I searched the internet for half an hour and entered about 2 dozens of answers all about Moria Door enter Friend... but keep getting the mesage incorrect answer. Can anyone help?

The prompt text is the Elvish (technically, Sindarin) inscription above the West gate of Moria, which translates as "The doors of Durin, Lord of Moria. Speak friend and enter." After several futile attempts with standard opening spells, Gandalf figures out that the password to open the door is actually just the word "friend," which in Elvish is "mellon."

Thanks for the help. Not only have I seen the series several times, but also read Tolkiens book several times and enjoyed both thoroughly. No, friends, the problem probably is more to be found with my age: less than one year from now I turn 60. So astonishly I knew the answer when I subscribed a few weeks ago and forgot it. And again astonishly I might forget it again in two weeks. Thats how getting older goes! But otherwise I enjoy getting older tremendoisly!

thanks for everyone's very big patience with me.

Although I speak 8 languages, Tolkin's is not one of them.

You see some people need a book for 'dummies'
others need one for 'big dummies'
and finally there's those than need that 21 volume one without title as their is no superlative being able to describe it.

Guess which one I need.


PS Even Gandalf did not succeed the first time, I only tried a few more times

Sorry for the confusion Pete, in my last post I actually meant to say, that the problem is solved. That is to say. I love mellons, they are delicious.
