    Post-Game?

I'm returning to Angband after getting my first win and putting it down for a while.

The 100+ levels intrigue me, and so I've been delving post-100. It's enjoyable; almost nothing is a threat to me anymore and it's cool to find incredible loot to nudge my numbers ever higher, but is there anything else to do once you've put Morgoth down? I've already killed every Unique (except St. Nicholas).

Not really. I guess you could go for 100M-1 XP (not sure it actually goes that high, but...) or something.

I also like post-win victory laps, but like has already arguably happened in this thread, in general there's this weird social pressure on this forum to not have fun in that way.

        Fuck. That.

Yeah, you'll get bored of it sooner or later. Maybe in 5 minutes, maybe after you grind out all the high-end artifacts, whatever. There's only so long you can mash buttons and see lootsplosions with no real risk without getting bored, but hey if you're still having fun with it, go for it. I usually do, at least for a bit, as I'm not so totally jaded as some are to wins.

I will note that PosChengband explicitly has two dungeons, Heaven and Hell, that only appear after you have won. They are designed for this sort of delving.

Drop as fast as you can to DL 127 and scum for The One Ring. Have fun reading a ?Deep Descent and find that a "malevolent presence" blocks the way below. Other than that, retire the character and try a new race/class combination, enter one of the competitions, play a variant.
“We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

You could also look for the bladeturner unique (if I remember the name correctly). It's a unique power dragon scale mail and provides resistance to pretty much everything. If you play with randarts it's always interesting to see what the RNG made out of that much power.
