Bug angband-win-4.0.3-384-gb14d9ec: disappearing objects

I'm playing the most recent published nightly build (July 30 2016?)
version angband-win-4.0.3-384-gb14d9ec.

I loaded a save game, and used a rod of treasure location. I noticed that the red stars appeared on squares that were lit, several of them in the current (lit) room. I visited them and noticed that they were objects that I'd previously known about. It's like the game forgot about the objects, and treasure location marked them then as new, undiscovered objects.

Ingwe reported a very similar, probably the same, bug. Nick was able to locate it, and indeed thought it was related to saving and reloading. Something about not remembering the status of the items.

Yeah, it is a confirmed but unfixed bug. As far as I had discovered, the problem was an ignored object is not saved as known, and has to be completely rediscovered on reloading. On looking at your example and testing, I see it is worse than that - in fact the object is then shown as a *, even in LoS, until it is walked over.

Has anyone noticed any of this weirdness without saving and reloading?

Yes the objects in the lit room were "not there" (not visible at least) upon loading, only appearing as "*" after the treasure detection. It's 100% repeatable so it's something in the save file I guess.
