1. Currently some of the Ego ignore items are "Missile Weapons of ... (Accuracy, Power, Extra Might, Extra Shots)". Could we separate these into the missile weapon types - Bows, Crossbows, Slings? It would be helpful for Rangers who might be interested in the bow variety, but wish to ignore some or all of types in the other two categories.
2. Currently some of the Ego ignore items are "Dragon Scale Mail of..." Could we also have an ignore for the Dragon Scale Mail types? Like being able to ignore all but Power Dragon Scale Mail, for example.- Basic - Black, Blue, White, Red, Green
- Multi-Hued
- High - Pseudo, Gold, Law, Chaos
- Balance
- Power
This seems like a reasonable compromise between too little choice (the current situation), and flooding the list with DSMs. Note that this fix has also done the launcher and DSM split for quality ignore.
This will be in the next nightly build, which should be up shortly; note that loading an existing character will work, but wipe all the ego and quality ignore settings. One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

There was a problem (fixed in 4.0.2) where a bunch of monster lore info wasn't saved properly when the game quit - I suspect this is the same issue. Please report if you run across it again in a later version. One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

I don't know if this is new or not, but on Windows 7 if I try to automatically load a character by giving a command line of lib\user\save\CharacterName I immediately crash back to the desktop with "angbande.exe has stopped working." Same save file works fine if loaded with the Open command. One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

spoiler generation bug in 4.0.2 OS X
I ^C'd a character, and tried to generate object spoilers from the tombstone screen.
The game proceeded to show messages of "auto-inscribed a scroll of recall," auto-inscribed a scroll of phase doc," "auto-inscribed a scroll of identify" ad infinitum, without ever returning me to the tombstone screen, and I eventually had to force-kill the application.
Other observations:- these three are the only scroll auto-inscribes I have defined, although I also have definitions for a number of other staves, rods, wands and spell books.
- this appears reproducible with a brand-new character, and the bug is triggered regardless of whether I actually have the scrolls in inventory.
- it is only the object spoiler generation that is affected; other spoilers seem to complete with no problem.
- the object.spo file does get generated prior to the app entering the infinite message loop.

I don't see why you'd release a 4.0.4; nobody would ever be able to find it.Comment

Damn. I love the change on the dragon mail ignoring. It's been very helpful!“We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school.
