    Can I reassign walk/run keys?

I want to use hjklyubn keys for run, and HJKLYUBN for walk (roguelike keyset). How can I do it?

50 views, and no answers... I think, I was right, it's impossible. Ok, let's change the question. Can you please help me to find run/walk keys processing in source code? Or should I ask it in Development subforum?

Some of us old people need time to think...

The roguelike movement keys are defined in lib/customize/pref.prf, down near the bottom. Editing that directly, or making a copy and putting it in your user directory should both work. You could probably also make keymaps from the options menu, but in this case I think directly changing the .prf file is probably easier.

Thank you. And sorry for impatience.

I already edited some keymaps in user pref file created by "save keymaps" options menu item, so I added these there. Earlier didn't understand I can use ";"/"," commands with directions from original keyset.

It's a big relief not to hold down Shift constantly. ) By the way, the idea came to me when I realized I can open doors, disarm traps, attack monsters by "run" keys in angband, not receive this dumb "you can't run this direction" message instead like in some other roguelikes I played. So I want to thank developers also, for this good idea.
