Corrupted save in 3.4.1 please help

I don't know how it happened, but I went to open my save file and it is corrupted. I tried to upload it to this post, but it claims to be an "invalid file" (this also happens when I try to upload an uncorrupted file). Any thoughts?

To be a valid file, it has to be one of the extensions:

bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

Try compressing it to a .zip file and posting it, and I can have a look.

I'm afraid your save only contains zeroes, so it's impossible to salvage.

To the OP, just curious: are you on Linux? Using the JFS filesystem?

I agree, it's very familiar. I'm on Windows, I believe the error occurred while I was on Windows 8, though it could have been after upgrading to Windows 10. Any clue what causes my years of data to just disappear? I'm not backing up my new file, but I've certainly never had any files for any other programs just turn to mush
