Nice kit there; damage on the low side, but once the ring slots are free for offensive rings and str/dex get a few points, that should be fixed.

Nice! I'm a scotch neophyte so I had to look all those up. That port ellen must be *amazing*. I get a bottle of scotch about once a year, and have been doing that for about 7 years, so I'm still trying all the common, popular scotches. I tried the Glenmorangie 10 last, and Lagaluvin 16 is next for this Christmas.
When I'm drinking and playing Angband it's usually whiskey, but sometimes beer. My last several characters were all under the influence of JP Wiser's Rye. Surprisingly good for the price point.
Anyway, sorry to derail... can't wait for the next update! (We are all living vicariously through you, at the moment, so don't let us down!)You are on something strangeComment

@HM yes, Port Ellen is pretty special - sadly it was shut down in 1983 so the remaining bottles are getting increasingly old and increasingly expensive. It's now out of my price range, even for an occasional treat. I shall probably cry when I drink the last drops of my bottle.Comment

Is it a bathroom sink? I fixed mine not long ago... clogged and the stopper wouldn't come out because, well, 3 girls in the house with long hair. Anyway, yeah, youtube is your friend. You are on something strangeComment

Day 2
Real life achievements
- I learnt that just because you can get away with falling asleep in front of the telly and spending the night on the sofa, this does not mean it is a good idea.
- Ditto for drinking half a bottle of cheap scotch.
- Inconveniently, I had to go to work today. This did, however, make me feel a bit like Clark Kent - processing payrolls by day, slaying demons by night (maybe this makes me more like Buffy the Vampire Slayer...without the midriff.)
- I realised when I made my much-needed morning coffee that when I kicked all of the soft drinks out of the fridge to make room for booze, I probably shouldn't have included the milk. It was warm and lumpy.
- I have partially completed 'The Sink Job'. On the plus side, I have replaced the cracked sink with a new one. The problem is that I spent two hours locating, and experimentally turning, stopcocks. I found three of them and whilst I tried to remember which ones I had turned, and in which direction, I seem to have lost count somewhere. I know there's only eight possible combinations but, try as I might, I can't get the water back on. I figure I don't really need water, although I should probably get it back on before the wife and kids return.
- I decided that I Will Not Let Standards Slip, so I picked a flower from the garden and put it in a vase. It's already starting to wilt. Due to the lack of water.
- Then my mother-in-law, who is also my boss, clearly thinking that 24 hours on my own might lead to malnutrition, decided to pick me up and take me out for curry. Come to think of it, she may have a point - I hadn't eaten since they left. Anyway, I ate far too much and ended up curled up on the sofa groaning while all of the Oxygen was diverted to my stomach and my brain started shutting down. This was why this happened...

Yet Another Over-eating-related Death
I was cruising around the mid-forties, quite comfortable but desperate for stat potions. Offed various uniques then came across an ethereal dragon. He hit me, which didn't do much damage but did confuse me. So I thought I'd toss back a CCW to clear the confusion and then teleport out of there. I drank it and he double-moved me, including a full-strength, unresisted light breath. -2HP . Bugger.
Oh well, onwards and upwards (well...downwards).
Of course the RNG mocked my lack of stat-potions on my previous run by giving me a potion of augmentation on dlvl 5.
The dog just looked at me thirstily.Comment

Mind you, I'm not sure which would do more damage, slays aside, for my rogue?Comment

In fact it's been rather generous; those 2 augmentations, wand of dragon breath, elvenkind armour and...ahem...Kelek's on dlvl 12 (at least it wasn't wrath of God). Ironically, I had to spank all of the charges of the dragon breath wand on Smeagol because I hadn't found a wand of wonder yet, which is my normal method of dealing with the rascal. And he kindly dropped 142 copper coins for my trouble.Comment
