    I'm doomed...

So my HT War is on dl47, and gets a 'good treasures' feeling, so I decide to poke around..kill a gold D close to the steps, it yields Aglarang...Cool, upgrade, keep going...Ant Queen and six regiments of army ants later, and I'm wearing Arvedui..nice, now I'm a bit nervous...running fight with a pack of Dreads, see a yellow slash on the floor...Trident of Wrath. Greattt, now I'm absolutely doomed....

Update: Well the RNG made its first attempt at payback...next level, dl48, cavern level..take 2 steps off the stairs and oh, hello, Lorgan, hi, Medusa, afternoon, GCD. Apparently all playing cards. Back to the stairs, ofc..

Omens of death haunt this place

Always get a chuckle when I get the above message.

Ooookey, guess I'll be a little careful on this level...

Those colored blobs are a bit tough to decipher, but depending of your gear, Huan looks tough, and rest are easy-peasy (including Glaurung). Fundin is hard to kill, but relatively low-damage monster, so TO it. Do that same for Huan, unless you want an epic fight.

Just don't be in LoS of more than one of them at the time. Glaurung is summoner, so be careful with summons.

That is a very lucrative vault (its name is "The Reward is Worth it"). I'd be going in, but then I don't win often

                Bit disappointing

TO Fundin, Glaurung and Huan. Took the big dragons one at a time, and beat the skull druj to death (won't bother fighting that one again).

Only useful items were an Amulet of Trickery and Gauntlets of Power.

Surprising, considering that that vault has 30 guaranteed excellent 20 levels OoD spots. You must already have quite good gear even that your depth is only 2500'. Usually at that depth getting vault this good is like winning in lottery.

Was there some item-crushing monster? Or a thief that then got crushed by bigger monster?

Something good would have been a weapon that did more damage than my current one (Trident of Ulmo, avg 322/round, more vs animal/dragon), something that increased my stats/high resists/speed. Even ESP. I have Telepathy at home, but I can't use it because my helmet is my only source of pBlnd and pConf.

I'm currently cruising at +31 speed, so not easy to get faster. I lack rLight, rDark, Sound, Chaos, Disen, pFear, pStun, ESP and (*shudder*) Feath.

ESP > pconf+pblind. Just carry a staff of teleportation.

Carry and swap. ESP as main.

All good. Found boots 'Dal-i-thalion' for pConf, and remembered I'm a dwarf, so pBlind is no prob. Only sacrificed 2 points of speed in the swap. Plus when I plonked Helm Dor-Lomin on my head, got about 200 extra HP. Good trade! I'm sitting on 1000 HP max!

Thuringwethil is toast too. Went the same way as Arien and Saruman. Bring it on!
