Could someone spoil me what happens when we kill Sauron?

I'm sure I've had him summon friends and nothing happens (I always kill all the uniques before the Sauron fight - on the very rare occasions I get that far). Is this new or am I going stark raving mad?
Well, if he summons Bullroarer and a great wyrm of chaos breathes on the same turn...

In which case Summon Uniques turns into Summon Greater Undead.
I might add that I never liked this. There should be a reward for killing all those uniques, and Morgoth´s summon spell yielding nothing, accompanied by a message of annoyance, would fit the bill.

I agree. Really I feel like the Morgoth fight should be you, vs him and the entire unique arsenal he can pull together. So he can both summon them from off the level and call them from on the level, but doesn't summon the other stuff.

Plus like you said, Morgoth seems to summon a hell of a lot more, so you need to use banish or teleport/TO all the time.

You sure like Dwarven priests. Any ideas for the next character?

I *love* dwarven priests. Great detection, superb healing, great monster removal. The fire power gets dangerously low in later levels but that's ok for me. I rolled a mage after playing priests for so long and it was very boring. My HP would get very low all the time, my mana isn't pretty hot either in the early/mid game. I have sort of gave up and rolled another priest instead. Next character I'm gonna try to grab a win will be an archer, but that will be in a very long time. I have so many roguelikes to beat and so little time. Only ADOM remains of the big 4 roguelikes (Nethack, DCSS, Angband, ADOM). After that maybe Sil and TOME. Not only that, but I am a bit worned out of Angband after playing it almost exclusively for 7 months.

Funnily enough, I still check this forum from time to time. People are pleasant and helpful and quick to reply. After beating Angband I said I would not touch this game ever again but after learning about the competition I started to miss this game again.

If you want a slightly more challenging game, I can also recommend OAngband (which is very 'spartan' with few unnecessary frills and few item drops) and FAAngband (which is based on OAngband, but adds a lot of variety, e.g. wilderness and extra monster types.)

These do play mostly like Angband, but are IMO quite a bit more difficult.

Hm, why would I play OAngband if FAAngband has more goodies then?

                Some people like minimalism.

Of course! Sometimes, less is more.
