The magic shop - where else can you browse powerful tomes of sorcery, play with magic wands that create fireballs, and in general toy with powers not meant for mankind?
You read the scroll labeled NOBIMUS UPSCOTI...
You are surrounded by a stasis field!
The tengu tries to teleport, but fails!
There should be a Mushroom of Super Size which makes you twice as big and doubles your hitpoints, and also increases your tunneling so you can break through bricks with your bare hands...
(Heck, why not a Flower of Fire Balls? Or a Star of Invulnerability, if you still haven't gotten the joke? )
Actually, Unangband does have a Mushroom of Restore Strength and Size, which is sort of like that :P
And there was even a Tales of the Mushroom Kingdom ToME module ages ago...

When I was young, I always wanted to be a blacksmith. Not much market for it in the real world though. If I lived in a world of magic though, it'd definitely be in a mage shop

There are blacksmiths here who make horseshoes for the equestrians in the area. Aside from that, I only see them at folk fairs, and they tell me that for them, it only works as a hobby rather than a way to make a living. Very cool hobby, though.
There are blacksmiths who do it for a living, but they mostly make home furnishings and decorations. I got my sister a forged iron lamp for a wedding gift, and my parents had a forged handle (lever, not a knob) for their front door at one point.
There are also professional knife (and sword) smiths, but they are almost all in Japan. (See recent NYT article.)
