Is there a way to learn exact condition modifiers (afraid, stunned etc.)?

I'm kinda frustrated googling for every new condition i experience in Angband. Terror, afraid, stunned, bold, hero. Is there a complete list with exact numbers (modifiers, penalties other stuff) or maybe even some in-game command to find out more about specific condition?

    The short answer is no.

The longer answer is yes, but it's not really all in one place. Over the years Angband has moved in the direction of providing more and more information to players, but it's still not all available, and this one is a bit of a hole. There are also questions here of whether players "should" know, and whether they want to know or would rather find out by bitter experience (many Angband players are masochists).

Here are a few places which give some of the info you're after:
    • The knowledge screens (hit '~')
    • The character resistances display (hit 'C', 'h')
    • Spoiler sites, like this one (although they tend to be out of date, and not really have all the info you want together)
    • Source code

In trying to answer your question, I discovered how hard it is to find all this info. In fact, the source code is the only place where it really all exists, and even there it's hard work.
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Thanks, Nick, your answer did actually help. I tend to forget that for roguelikes there is always source code .

When you get your answer, could you post it for the next person who comes looking?

            Sure.
"Afraid" won't let you attack in melee and gives -20 to hit penalty, while "Terror" gives +5 speed actually
