[3.5-dev] Pints of Fine Wine do not work

    Good Afternoon,

I am playing a nightly release (angband-v3.5-dev-439-gd2b2e2d) and while in the Weak state I purchased a Pint of Fine Wine and ate(?) it. The message I received was:

You have a Pint of Fine Wine (a).
That tastes great! A fine vintage.
    You feel bold.
    Effect not handled.

My character was still in the weak state and the Pint did not disappear from my inventory. So, I ate it a few more times. It never disappeared from my inventory and my hunger status stayed at weak. The only difference in the messages I saw was the "you feel less bold message".

    Thanks,
    Rick

Bah, I'll never buy wine in Angband. If you have to eat it instead of quaff it, it must be crappy wine, no matter how "fine" they say it is!

Is it just me, or is none of the new/old flavourful food found in the dungeons? Speaking as a wine merchant, which I am, I'd have thought Angband had ideal cellaring conditions for fine wine.

Actually, thinking about it, judging by the preliferation of mould in the dungeon the humidity would be higher than ideal. This will not be a problem for the wine as it will stop the corks drying out, thereby maintaining the elasticity of the cork and preventing excess oxygenation of the contents. It will however be a nightmare for the labels, which would soon rot away.
This could, however, lead to an interesting subgame.

You pick up a dusty bottle.
You feel a warm tingling sensation wash through your body and you marvel at the layers of complexity on the palate and the wonderful length on the finish. <more>
You have no more bottles of the legendary Mouton-Rothschild '61.

There's a "break" statement instead of a "return" at the end of the chunk of code that handles the effect.
