    A frivolous but fun suggestion

I'm currently playing a half-troll; I have "slime green eyes, mangy dark purple hair, and black ulcerous skin." And yet I have a charisma of 18/50! (There were these nexus hounds, see...)

How about making the physical description variable and based on the current charisma score? :-) Vain players can then waste stat points on it and be rewarded, sort of. :-)

Girl trolls like slime green eyes and mangy dark purple hair

Actually, I think physical description used to be based on social class or something, didn't it?
You read the scroll labeled NOBIMUS UPSCOTI...

Ehhh, remember that charisma is more than just looks; it's also force of presence, ability to talk a good talk, etc. It bothers me a bit that people assume that Potions of Charisma are actually Potions of Plastic Surgery. Also, who's to say what's attractive to a half-troll? Or a kobold? Or a dwarf?

It's not Potions of Plastic Surgery, it's Potions of Attractiveness to Shopkeepers.

Edit: And shopkeepers come in all different races and genders, so come to think of it, that lends credence to the idea that the stat represents general likeability and personality rather than raw sex appeal. Basically, agree with Derakon.

Not to mention intimidation. (And fanatical devotion to the Pope? )

I thought that sounded familiar. As punishment for having to Google it, I shall go sit in a comfy chair.

Yeah, the new Pope isn't as hard-line as some of his predecessors
