Newbie thoughts - Global Monster Memory

Played Vanilla Angband for a few weeks now and have my fist character (a dwarf paladin) in the depths below level 50. Must say it is a very addictive game.

If I could wish for one thing to be added in future versions, it would be a monster memory seperate from the character save file that you can use with multiple characters and all add to it. From a in-game point of view it would make sense (after all an Ancestor can have several Descendants and the other way round). Gameplaywise I like making new chars even if the old one is still alive, I am an "alt-o-holic", and would like them to have the knowledge.

Keep up the good work on this great dungeon crawl.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly it's a common one, and it's been on our to-do list for about three years. One day someone will do it, maybe.

Time Lord is not required, you only need Tardis.

A DeLorean could work well, if you had enough space to get it up to speed...
              You have found a trap!
You fall through the trap door.
You have a superb feeling about this level.

Or have a golfer class and give them a (M)ulligan ability... bonus points if there's a special level where you can duel the Tourist from Nethack

I'm all up for having a Time Lord race. You get to die and come back 12 times with different base stats each time.
