    YACD - Sell Paurnen, Pauraegen

My warrior has made it down to 2700', and has found lots of artifacts and other nice items. I haven't got room to store them all, so I could use some help deciding what to sell. I have got Cambeleg and Fingolfin, so I assume that I have no use for Paurnen or Pauraegen. Is this correct? When it comes to the headgear department I am wearing Dor-Lómin, but have stored Thranduil, Holhenneth and a Golden Crown of Might [0,+11] (+3). Can I safely sell those?

For the gloves sell them. There nice early levels before you find anything else. Like you have, but even egos of agility, slaying or power are generally a lot more useful.

You also seem to have BlueDSM of Speed +9. I would put that on. +30 is so much better than +21.

I know, I used to wear it, but when I got my BronzeDSM of Permanence I put it in storage because the latter provided me with nexus resistance and hold life.
Is that +9 to speed more useful than nexus resistance and hold life?

Currently, yes. HL is pretty useless, nexus is something you want until you have your stats maxed (or near-maxed). Now nexus basically just teleports you around, so you need to be careful around nexus-breathers, but it is no longer any kind of threat. Only thing that breathes nexus with some power is dracolisk, at least I can't remember anything else.

Safe to sell Hitlomir and Rohirrim?

Ok, I have put the BlueDSM of Speed on.

I still have to free up two more slots in my home. I have 7 different body armor, which I think is a bit much. I am considering to sell Hitlomir and Rohirrim. I have searched the forum, but I haven't found any useful advice.

You can safely throw those boots of stability out of the window. They should fall slowly at least. And I don't see any case in which Orcrist would be better than Ringil, so it could go as well.

Thank you, now I have freed up enough space to go into the dungeon once more.

Your character looks great and is close to being geared for the endgame.

From your inventory I would get rid of: c,e,l,m,n,q, r. I'd also leave at least 30 !healing at home. Also carry around !rCold, ?phase, and !CCW.

From your home I would get rid of: c,e,f, h,i,j,k,n,o,p,q,r,t,u,v

Bear in mind charges from staves add but so does the weight so you can reduce your weight by 20 lbs by carrying 1x _identify and 2x _teleportation, which will be another point of speed.

I wouldn't quite yet discard GreenDSM, his only source for poison resist is a ring. With better than +9 RoS it is better to use ring and that than BlueDSM and RoRPoison. Holhenneth I would keep in case he finds Trickery and needs RConf, though then he needs some non-amulet, non-headgear source for ESP (cloak of magi or RoPower perhaps). Dor-Lomin is difficult to beat. Those are unlikely combinations, but not entirely impossible.

Why should I get rid of ! of Restore Life levels? I find myself using those frequently. I switched to using !Healing because !CCW were ineffective. Why should I store the !Healing at home when I need them in the dungeon?

Generally, really good players (like the ones giving you advice) plan on winning the game (and frequently do so) and therefore store healing potions for the last couple of fights, Sauron and Morgoth. If you find you need them now and don't see winning as a distinct possibility, then by all means use them as you see fit, that's what I usually do.

You are CL48 and only gain around 20-30 hp per level, so considering you are only halfway through the dungeon, you have plenty of time to "regain" lost XP. Plus you have hold life on the bronze DSM which reduces XP loss by 90%. I just won an ironman ranger that never found hold life and was frequently drained 500k-1.5m XP. He finished the game at CL46.

In 3.2 CCW heals ~25% of hp lost. If they are ineffective you are using them too soon. You don't need to run around at 100% HP all the time and you should have no trouble killing everything at your depth. If you find yourself using !Healing frequently by all means keep them - notice I didn't say leave your entire stock at home. Each item is subject to destruction, so carrying more items in inventory will result in more being lost to cold breaths.

                              These are fair points.
