I just noticed a discrepancy between the class boni shown in birth process and those finally in game. For example: mage has +5 int, +3 dex announced in birth process but has +2(+3?) int and lower dex class bonus in game.

I think the way it's shown on the birth screen has changed for 3.3.0. In 3.2, it used to show you the race bonuses when you were chosing a race and the class bonuses when you were chosing a class. Now, once you've selected a race and are choosing a class, it shows you the race and class bonuses combined. So that +5 INT, +3 DEX on the birth screen isn't just the class bonus for a mage, it's the combined bonus for a gnome mage. (Or whatever species you picked.) -

Thx for pointing that out Nomad, i guess you are right.
But if i choose human/high-elf or kobold ranger all have the same values for fight/shoot/throw. So showing total values is only true for stats probably.
I prefer the old system. That way class boni were better in mind, because they always showed identically for a certain class, regardless of what race you took.Blondes are more fun!Comment

I'm interested to see how people feel. Personally I like the new method a lot better... in my opinion the most important thing are the bonuses the character being created will get--if you are interested you can generalize back to the race/class bonuses in isolation, but the current system makes it easier to compare different races and the same class (and makes it no harder to compare different classes for the same race).Comment

comparing race/class

I think there's some room left of the screen, you could display something like
Str: +2 -3
Int: +1 +3
etc
