If you are very stealthy and at the same time have gear that aggravates, how is that handled?
Cheers,
Tibarius
Currently aggravation negates stealth, no matter how high stealth is. There has been talk to make aggravation be a penalty to stealth, rather than an "on-or-off" auto-disturb. This would mean there would still be a meaningful choice of whether to wear another aggravating item if you already have one equipped.
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then why are beholders so freaking ugly?
i think leave it as it is, otherwise aggrevate would become not mattering even earlier and all those crazy aggrevate items would become 2g, please , no rage~

dos's objections aside. Multiple pvals allow for this, and it should be implemented for 3.4 Aggravate can be removed the ch screen, and large stealth penalties can be added. Something like.
-20 = the one ring, morgoth's crown, grond
-15 = Palantir, Doomcaller, Deathwreaker, Gothmog, Haradrim,
-10 = Eol, Calris, Zarcuthra, Anguirel, Umbar
-5 = Razorback, Hammerhand, Gorlim, Camlost, Mormegil, Melkor, gloves of combat (3-6 or something)
Stealth of 0 should be equivalent to aggravation, though, or at least almost identical -- IIRC the best you can hope for is that a monster stays asleep for one turn before waking up.

agreed. This is where I think we should go with this.

Well, you disturb all monsters every turn, but only by 100/distance. So you will wake up monsters you walk up to, but you can walk by heavy sleepers in the same room.
