He's only at DL83. There is no point going looking for a Morgoth killing weapon. Most likely one will show up however he plays. If he hasn't found one after killing Sauron, only then should he worry about it.

Once one gets the One Ring, should you use *Remove Curse*?

Nah, it won't help. *Remove Curse* takes out normal sticky curses and "heavy" sticky curses, but the One Ring is permanently cursed, so once you put it on, it stays on.

I know that the game doesn't follow the storyline anywhere near exactly, but Bilbo and Frodo could put on the Ring and remove it as needed (although sometimes it seemed to trick its owner into putting it on). What would make more sense is that you could not drop the Ring once you picked it up, as the Ring was said to choose its owner. Of course, this would require creating a new mechanism just for one object that appears only very rarely.
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then why are beholders so freaking ugly?

Looking at your post on the Ladder, I think I would carry The trident of wrath as a weapon swap to try on things that resist acid instead of Ulmo since you can now cover all 4 immunities with the one ring. Even if you run into something that resist both acid and poison, it will probably be evil, so wrath would still get a slay evil bonus.

I think I will try that. I just came across Ulmo in the vault where I found the one ring. Haven't come across a MoD yet, other than the one that was toasted by a greater balrog I think.

@ Timo - I tossed a fury weapon in my early cl40's I think. Didn't want the aggro. In hindsight, I probably should have stashed it at home.

boo! but my ridiculously OP HE mage could have stomped Morgorth without it, my stats are all star maxed and I've got every immunity already. well, there's always the xp drain to enjoy
