    System Requirements - MacOS X?

The ability to play monsters with RePosBand is actually inspiring me to try V for the first time in a long time, however I can't get either RePos or V 3.2 to run on my machine (MacOS 10.4.11 Intel) - when I try to open them, nothing happens.

From past experience this often indicates that the program requires a later version of MacOS, but I can't find any official system requirements for either V or RePos.

Does anyone know if this is indeed what's causing the problem?

I thought we were good for all the Intel Macs, but maybe not. What other variants can you run?
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Um... no idea; I only ever really play Sangband, and I run the Windows compile of that using Wine. (I don't really know enough about wine to know why, but Sangband is the only Windows program I have ever been able to get to work in wine...)

Edit: I don't think I'm going to try every variant to see which ones work, but I just got FAAngband 1.1 running with no problems.

Can you open up Console.app, clear it, then launch V and report what (if anything) you see?

Also, please consider opening a ticket at http://trac.rephial.org.

Thanks, and sorry you're having problems!

This (seemingly) related thread is still unanswered...

(Although it has the added excitement of being PPC as well as older OS X)

That's a link error--almost certainly a problem with compile flags.
Can you try building a copy locally? I remember seeing problems with cross-version compiles in OSX before, even between different versions of 10.3.x
