Hi all,
Some time ago a guy called Dubtrain wrote some cool new sounds for Angband and put them up for download at www.dubtrain.com/angband. When I try to use them, I get no sound, and two different types of error messages whenever I trigger a sound effect:
angband: Unrecognized sound file type: Invalid argument
angband: Complex WAVE files not supported: Invalid argument
All the sound files are in lib/xtra/sound and they are all .wav files. 'file' tells me they are "RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio".
Does anyone else use this sounds? Did you ever see/solve these errors?? There's nothing on dubtrain's site about these errors, and I presume he used them perfectly successfully.
(He wrote them for 3.1.0, but sound handling hasn't changed since, and I get the same errors with 3.1.x versions.)
