    a) Please, use english.
    b) Most of the things that killed you are extremely dangerous. keep track of the things which looked really dangerous to you, and remember you can always flee. Better be safe than sorry.
    c) About your stats : no. Wisdom, intelligence and charisma are not important early game for a warrior. Try using the point roller on next character and have st, dex and con at 18 to begin with, at least. High elf warrior is a good combo in my opinion though.

good luck, and keep us informed!

        Few advices.

        In order of importance:

        detection, evasion, endurance, damage.

        IE:

Detect often. Knowing where and what your enemies are is vital for survival.
Don't fight what is not worth fighting, choose your fights. Speed, stealth, teleport other, *destruction*, anything that can get you out of the harms way is useful and valued.
Get your HP up and necessary resists against instant death -elements and side-effects for rest of them. Basically:Fire,Cold,Poison,Electricity,Acid, confus ion, blindness, nexus, sound.
Determine weapon quality by how much damage you can do with it.

Note that many people here value resistances or damage over HP. Those are not as important as HP as long as they are not preventing instant deaths. HP is what keeps you alive, so get that high ASAP. HP and speed are two major things that keep you alive. Anything faster than you might be able to kill you with double-move, anything that hits harder than what you have HP can kill you with single move.

Speed over damage until speed is +30+. Speed over nearly anything.

Don't melee melee-disenchanters (if you know what they are) unless you have disenchantment resistance. If something hits to disenchant and you don't have disenchantment resist bail out immediately. You can fight it later. Chaos prevents hallucination, but is otherwise less important. Lite and Dark prevent blindness from corresponding elements. Blindness prevents blindness from any source. Heroism gives you temporary resistance to fear. Nether damages you most of the high-elements, but is least damaging for side-effect, so that is something you don't absolutely need. Good to have, but not necessary. Shard is common damage source and damages quite a bit, but resistance to that is easy to get (cloaks of protection) and side-effect is not deadly. Sound prevents stunning from distance attacks. Stunned-heavily stunned-KO-RIP. Avoid master and grand master mystics until Greater Balrogs are just minor speed-bumps.

You can get immunities to four basic elements, they make both you and your gear completely immune to that element. Rare, but useful when you find them.

CCW and CSW potions heal quite a bit in 3.1.2 and newer, much more than in older versions. Collect and carry them (only CCW when you have money).

Learn to use swaps (later) when you have items that are good against something but not something else (defense or offense). With swaps you can expand your gear possibilities quite a bit.

yes i hear speed is the thing ey, im getting into this char now, clvl18 dlvl21, i have found one artifact (fire gauntlet thing) and found my first ever ring of resist poison~~~~!

that is a great thing imo!~ cos my last char was getting poison resist from armo and i kept it for that reason , even tho i had alot better armo!~~ im currently using an enchanted main gauche, should i use a trident of *slay animal*?? lol (4 blows with gauche, 3 with trident)

by the time i get reply i prolly have something better, and ty timo yes, i fought disenchanters on my last char and my blade went down to like -14-14 .... i spent alot of time buyin enchant weapon scrolls and it didnt even get back up to being good.. eek~

Always have an escape handy. When you're out of escapes, you're pretty much dead. The dungeon isn't a level playing field. The monsters are generally more powerful than you and there are more of them. After a certain depth, teleport level and/or destruct are mandatory equipment. This coming from a guy who doesn't like to run from a fight.

No, that's not it. What did you need and what didn't you have? What's in the shops that could have saved you?

Still missing the obvious one. Take a peek at ladder. What is common inventory item in almost all of those chardumps?

You got it. Phase door. Carry at least 20 with you. If you can't fight, run.

IMO phase door is more of an attack spell than an escape spell. You use it for escape when there is no alternative, but it does not always work. At his depth, a staff of teleportation [preferably two] is mandatory IMO.

If you are going to try to escape with phase, try to get to a place such as in a corridor with a nearby room that the corridor does not reach.

One of the skills to be learned is in what order to explore rooms so that you can use what you have to escape when necessary.
