Me fail Angband? That's unpossible.

So I was in the dungeon with my trusty shovel, diving slowly because I was slow because I only had 7 strength. "Hey," I said, "Look! a unique, and orcs to hide behind in the corridor." So I grabbed some orcs and Brodda and headed for a hallway, and started casting Stinking Cloud, the only ball spell I had handy, sleeping the orc in front, resting, and repeating. It was going pretty well, until my wand of Sleep Monster ran out of charges. "No problem," I thought, "I'll just recharge it with my scroll which rechar-- My Wand Blew Up!"

So the orc woke up, so I killed it, but then I had only 3 sp, so I phased away from Brodda into a room, where I found another Sleep Monster wand. I grabbed it, but then Brodda, evil creature that he is, hit me, and hit me, and hit me...

"Ow ," I said, "That's a surprising amount of blood. I'd better phase away, hopefully not landing in that corridor full of orcs and that other unique."

... "huh."

I've attached a screenshot. (baby dragon's sleeping, and I've got a staff of *Destruction*, 3 Phase Door scrolls, and I know Teleport Self at 18% failure rate, but it costs 6 mp)

I think I can probably live through this. I have an appetite for *Destruction*, but would it be smarter to quaff !Speed and a couple !CCW and then try to sleep the leading orc coming out of the corridor until I have 6 mp? I think *Destruction*'s blindness might kill me too. What would you do?

Use the Destruction. It won't deal any damage to you and you'll recover from the blindness soon enough. This is not the situation to be taking chances in, and Destruction charges aren't that dear.

Also, if you have CCW you can drink that to fix blindness I think. I didn't look at your picture, just want to point that out.

Even CLW cures blindness I believe.
