    = and " not really random?

    Hi,

    not sure if its a bug and can't really reproduce it but i had the feeling that with my last char = and " stay the same once identified. Meaning that i found a Moonstone= and identified it. It turned out to be a =strength(+2). Another time i found a walnut" and identified it and it was a "wisdom(-1). After this i think i only found Moonstone= that are =strength(+2) or "wisdom(-1). This was the same for all rings and amulets that give you advantages/disadvantages with positive/negative values. So it seems to me that a ring gets "initialized" once and after this never updated on its bonuses/malis.
    But maybe it is just a feeling.

    Playing v3.1.2 r1961.

    Just a weird streak of luck. I found a bunch of rings with the same bonus like that, then it started changing.

      Pvals are tied to DL. You are much less likely to find con+6 than con+3 when you first find a con ring. Early on, the value may even be most likely to be +1 or +2, in which case several at +2 is not that unlikely.

        Your first few amulets of wisdom are always going to be cursed. Just a test of faith set by the RNG... Remain steadfast and soon the +1 amulets will abound!

          Ah ok...it just made me wonder. And such a bug is easy to deploy i think
