    Minor squelch issue (3.1.2 v2)?

    I found a cloak {1,-3} on the floor and wore it; it partially ided as a cloak {1,-3}. On trying to destroy it and set squelch settings I got the message:
    "Ignore all cloaks that are excellent but not splendid in the future?"

    I put it back on and it turned out to have no other properties. A minor problem with the squelch code? Or this is as expected because it wasn't fully ided and the squelch options are set up to be conservative for partially unided items?

    How did you know that it was not a cloak of protection [1, -3]? I know, currently egos never have negative AC mods, but that fact is not included in the squelch code. If you are not going to assume the player knows the ego list why should you assume the player knows that?

      Ok - thanks. I simply assumed it would operate on the basis of what I currently knew about the item, not what it might potentially be.
