Can you disable level feelings? (3.1.2)

Is it possible to disable the level feelings? I am playing in a Windows environment.

It's possible to disbelieve them, not so sure about disabling. Have you checked the options menu [=]. Why? Just curious.

I did check the options menu, and did not see anything in there.

I want to disable them simply because I find they detract from the game experience. I really can't describe why, it's just a personal idiosyncrosy.

No, you can't, not without taking them out yourself and compiling your own version.

There seems to be a birth option, the last one, that turns off feelings if set to yes. I checked in something I think was an official 3.1.2 version. I started a char, went down immediately, no level feeling message. The option exists in dev r1942, though that is not the version I mention testing above.

Hmm, I don't remember that being there. Don't think it was added in 3.1.2, so it must have been there for a while.

I found the option to disable level feelings in the birth options. Sorry for the spammy post, I should have looked more carefully.

Around this forum I've seen several people comment that level feelings are broken anyway, so I'd just ignore them.
