flip-pickup not working?

The "flip-pickup" command doesn't seem to be working. If I understand this correctly, if I type "-" (minus sign) and then the direction key (I'm using the standard keyset), then I should pickup the object on the floor if I normally don't, or not pickup the object if I normally do. But the minus seems to have no effect. I get the default pickup action whether or not I hit the minus.

For some reason, this was permanently disabled in 3.1 related to the way the code handling autopickup was changed. You no longer autopickup immediately. If you step onto a potion, a cold breath before your next move will destroy the potion before you pick it up.
