    Crash Bug?

    The game always crashes when I zap the rod of magic mapping. What happens is that when I go south to the edge of the trap detection area and z4 the game crashes. I am running angband version 3.1.2v2, win xp on an intel core2duo machine. Savefile attached

    This sounds like yet another illegal memory access error that only shows up on Windows.

    I'll try to fire up valgrind soon and see what I can find.

      Thank you. The problem did not occur when I went down to the next level and zapped the rod there.
      Edit: Its happening more frequently now. Almost every level or so.
      Edit: Happened again. This time with a scroll of magic mapping. I think it only happens in the lower half of the screen.

          OMG I thought this was only happening to me (as I'm not really playing vanilla as-is).

          It is due to the item recall window, I think. Happens very often in town when using a rod of recall.

          I am playing my own modified version, so this may not help much. If you want the full thing or if you want me to try and get it crash on latest unmodified svn version.. let me know.. it's been driving me nuts.
