I've been away from Angband for some time and don't know when I'll get time to play again, but I would like to thank takkaria and all the other people who are making sure Angband keeps getting better.

This release looks pretty great - I haven't been browsing the forums lately but I see some of the changes that were being discussed a while ago have been resolved nicely (purple uniques, squelch upon destroy). However, I'm a little bit worried about luck and item placement. Maybe I'm just really lucky, but with a "You feel a little lucky..." level feeling on DL2 I perchance found the Hard Leather Armor of Himring [8, +15]. Is this to be expected?Comment

(2) Object generation has too few consumables, and too many egos, leading to too many artifacts. I get 18/200 CON from artifacts long before I get to 18/100 internal CON.
(3) Himring at DL2 is such an outlier that I don't think (1) or (2) mattered much. You just got lucky. Note that if a monster dropped it upon dying, it did not contribute to the level feeling.Comment

(1) Level feelings are broken. Pay no attention to them, except that early superb/special feelings mean a likely jelly pit you can search out.
