Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa

I got a chance to play some more, and it seems to be working as expected. I guess this is another case of seeing what one expects to see.

I guess I need to fix disturb in non-symmetric LOS situations, except I suppose it would make more sense to attack the problem at the root by trying to implement symmetric LOS.

Agreed. LOS is one of the things I plan to break in the medium-to-long-term.

YES!! Thank you. LOS is tied to SO many other things that need fixing. Bring it on.

One other things I used to do is 's' once to check for the search flag on a newly wielded object. There seems to be a recent change to make this unnecessary, but in case it reverts I would do this more often than actual searching to find something. I hardly ever search after the first few levels. Detection and disarming spells, available on rods or early spellbooks, render searching unimportant.
