couple of questions for someone who has not played since version 3

I was reading through the notes and noticed that the resistance isn't what I remember (where they don't stack except in case of a potion or magic). No problem with this but it got me wondering about a few others and if they stack. I could not find anything specifically mentioned about them.
- regeneration. Does that stack to improve regeneration speed?
- slow metabolism/digestion?
- sustain life force?

Also, I am assuming that if I have a character that is on 4.2.4 and I load 4.2.5, I can still run that character?

Permanent resistances still don't stack - what was it you read that made you think they did? And yes, any 4.2.x character should be able to run in 4.2.y for any values of x and y

I did not read anything that said they did. I could not find anything either way. It just made me think about it. but I also did not realize they were called permanent resistances so there may have been things I missed as a result. still trying to catch up on the new stuff and remember the old stuff.
