    If Godzilla was in Angband

Sometimes it comes up: it would be fun if there were bigger monsters that would only become available to fight after defeating Morgoth. Godzilla minus one is one such monster that could appear beneath 5000'.

This natural creature would able to pass through walls and destroy them around itself like Morgoth. It would move Incredibly quickly. It would have 255AC. It would have 50,000HP. It would trample weaker monsters. It's actions would be:

Deathray: every one in five turns it would produce a mana beam doing 470+30d11 damage (that's 500-800 damage).
Breathe Chaos: every one in three turns it would breathe chaos for 600 damage.
Breathe Force: every one in five turns it would breathe a volley of 3 force breaths dealing 200 damage for each breath, for a total of 600 damage in a single turn.
Breathe Plasma: every one in five turns it would breathe a volley of 3 plasma breaths dealing 150 damage for each breath, for a total of 450 damage in a single turn.
Gain HP: every one in five turns it would *gain* hitpoints onto its maximum. That is, it will add 1-5% of its current hitpoints onto its maximum.
Heal: Every one in five turns it will heal between 1-5% of its MAX hitpoints.
Frighten: Every one in 10 turns it can frighten.
Paralyze: Every one in 10 turns it can gaze to paralyze.
It can bite to attack dealing 15d20 damage, claw to confuse, dealing 12d17 damage, claw to disenchant dealing 11d13 damage, hit to stun (with its tail) dealing 15d25 damage and crush to annihilate, dealing 20d20 damage.
It cannot be confused, frightened or slept.
It cannot be teleported by any means.
It resists acid, lightning, fire, cold and poison.

Its ASCII colors would be the same as Morgoth's, but R instead of P.

    Good luck hobbits and gnomes.

Several variants have similar 'superboss' postgame monsters; ToME 2 had Melkor, Hengband has several very rare endgame bosses that might be tougher than the standard boss, Gensouband has Serpent of Chaos (with another monster being the standard level 100 boss).

Incidentally, Godzilla is a unique monster in Zangband and its variants - though it's just more or less reflavored Tarrasque.

Godzilla in composband is quite a bit more buff and is boss of his own dungeon, monster island, full of kaiju uniques. It's just that nobody's ever played.

I think this part of description is a reference to the original monster from D&D - which is both unkillable and is incredibly resistant to magic.

I was careful to make Godzilla distinct from the Terrasque, and unlike the Terrasque, Godzilla just about is immune to magic. The only thing taking it down is an insane weapon or a ranger with an insane launcher / missiles. Not sure how a mage takes it down.

One more thing I thought of to add to Godzilla: the ability to phase 4 squares via line of sight (so no hopping over walls). Hmm, should it also get +1 movement speed? Yes, I think so.

Not to rain on the parade, but the more ridiculous the monster, the more likely I will take it out the old-fashioned way: LoS abuse + TO. In which case, a mage can just take it out with magic missile.

I suppose you have a point. I guess +1 movement speed will make it a little bit more difficult in that it will reach the mage faster. Also, it is going to be regenerating a fair amount of hitpoints each turn so magic missile probably would never be able to kill it. When I TO Morgoth, he often regenerates 5% of his hitpoints by the time I find him again.
