These are my notes as I tried 3.1.1 dev out after someone touted the many UI improvements. Played about 2 times 4 hours straight. I gave it a try ;]
* Store item/verb needs to be an option or reverted, sorry, just lost all my cash by buying a book I didnt want.. Not to mention all item interaction is verb/item ( quaf,drink,read, etc. ). This change drove me to post this.
* Negative armour bonus armor is magical ? Come on..
* No teleport ? in town ? Seriously, that changes the game completely. Not much for the better in my mind. Just more stupid deaths.. ( Suddenly Boldor is a powerhouse.. )
* Spiders not sensitive to light, meh, I guess they're not really the offspring of Shelob after all
* good items getting bonus known after wearing, partial.. I might get used to that
* Monster distribution : better, more challenging
* Item distribution : not noticed a difference
* item destruction : is there a bug ? The current setup is not intuitive at all ? If I do not want to ignore the item, then I cannot destroy the item ? that doesnt make sense, also at times I tell the game I dont want to squelch an item, and it still tags the item with {squelch}, all quite confusing.
* Intro screen, I liked
* Start from dead character I liked that
* Somehow my 18/10 dex,str,con dwarven pally feels a wuss. Is 18/10 not what it used to be ?
* '@' is not macro's .. I could understand if something else was assigned.. but just removing it does not seem to make much sense.. at least I've been able to macro it back ;]
* Lanterns.. , nuff said. Do like that emptying lanterns leaves an empty lantern.
