BoS+6 at 400' BlackDSM at 750'

BDSM was dropped by an Illusionist, BoS lying on the floor in a level with a good feeling.

First time finding BoS or any DSM. It's ridiculous how easy +6 speed makes the early game. And those acid balls should come in handy!

Lying on the floor same level as the BDSM was a light crossbow of power (+5, +21)!! Can't wait to get back to town and buy bolts.

I love when that happens, I found a GDSM at level 7, was thrilled to have poison resist that early. Ended up dying though.

I was so happy to find BoS +10 with my recent warrior, my lack of speed and con killed me a lot in my last game, but now, I'm doing quite well in both of those respects. But grats! Hopefully you'll keep up with the good luck!

Robe of Resistance (or Perm!!) is better yes, but hey, that early acid ball is quite nice to clear out snaga and wolf pits... Ugh killing a screen full of 'C's is irritating without a nice ball spell. I'm sad I just switched out my ring of flames for that very reason...

It gets better. Wand of TO dropped by a dark elven lord at 850' and the Ball-and-Chain of Fundin Bluecloak was on the floor at 1050' which I'm getting 2 blows with thanks to a ring of Strength+1 and a potion of Brawn. (drained Int)

No FA as of yet, though. I stupidly discarded an amulet of Inertia back before I found the BoS.

Finding Fundin allowed me to sell the battle axe of extra blows +2 I found a few levels earlier.

I can't believe how lucky this game's been. I've got +10 speed and I' haven't even hit 1500' yet.

I'm wondering if I should just read my eight scrolls of Deep Descent I picked up in the black market or save them for escapes. I could probably survive down there easily, but I'm worried about my lack of FA as of now.

Killed by a drolem. Was clearing out a vault, had TOed all the other Ancient Dragons and uniques, had everything worth getting, and ran right into the drolem on the way out. It's first attack, of course, was his breath weapon. Bye bye, cruel cruel world. Retarded me didn't switch back to Theoden after killing the orcs there. I knew the drolem was there, somewhere, it just slipped my mind while I was poring all over my shiny new shit. (basically just a couple of stat pots) Oh yeah, that's right, the drolem is a golem, and wouldn't have shown up with telepathy. Teach me to use it as a total replacement for DVis.

Sad thing was, I had MB Resists and enough levels to cast Resistance, and I also had RPois from an artifact Zwei. I might have actually survived that first breath if I had been more careful.

I feel you, I had Luthgorien(sp?) the balrog of white fire, and learned that he didn't resist poison by shooting a seeker arrow of venom at him. So yay, I went and fired all of them and put him to 5 stars, then I phased to pick up arrows to finish the job... but he summoned tons of demons.

In my intense desire to kill him, I didn't quite notice they were breathing nasty things at me while I was killing their boss... Lut dies, then a greater balrog or a pit fiend breathes plasma and blows me away.

I was one resist away from a winning kit too! Hell I could have probably made due without it! Oh well. Oh yeah, don't fight drolems.

Shield of preservation at level 29 or 30, with rPoison.

That ego usually drops at 60+, and I've never seen it before, and from looking at the edits, it gets a random high resist on top of the natrual rDisenchant, so I've been epic lucky to get poison.

I know! I was literally floored (okay, not literally) but wow, rPoison is usually my big sticker for shifting gear early on, oddly enough rDisen wasn't much of a problem for me, I usually happen to find belthondring or die before fighting the big disenchanters (Saruman and the like)
