I saw similar behavior with the comp priest when I had not properly installed the lib/edit/*.txt files.

The one one rephial.org

I played the nightly r1622 with a priest and this didn't happen. Don't know about paladins though.

The nightlies and 3.1.1 are not built from the same place. The former contains gameplay changes, the latter just fixes bugs.
