    Lost intelligence while sustained.

Hey, I was on DL49 today, and I lost 30 points of Intelligence with the message "You're not as bright as you used to be...", but I'm sporting the Large Shield of Anarion, which supposedly sustains all 6 stats. I had the following enemies close to me: A Killer stag beetle, a death knight and a time vortex.

Of course, it'd be nice if the message told you who caused the drain, but as it is, the enemy descriptions don't give me a clue (and I don't know how the "time breathing" thing works).

So, a noob question, how did I lose 30 Intelligence points while sustained?

    Thanks

Time drains stats regardless of substains and could lose exp that way too.

        Yes, time is scary.

IF you do enough damage, time hounds are worth killing if you can fight them one at a time without getting breathed on by its friends, although even then it's risky.

Time can't be resisted and can drain every stat and exp regardless of sustain.

Plasma is scary too, there is no resist from it although resist sound will stop the stunning I believe.

Inertia and Gravity are likewise scary, no resist protects you and both slow you down.

I have survived gravity hounds, but they do hurt, a lot. And someone told me they can port you to a spot where the breath will reach you twice, but I haven't confirmed this in vanilla (and I don't really want to ).

I had about 200 Restore X potions at home and once I got sustains for all stats I sold them. I should have checked what other damage types there were

HaHaHaHaHa! People keep telling me not to stash them, but I do until nearly endgame when I have enough cash for multiple buyouts of the Alchemy shop...

I kept stashing them 'cause the alchemy shop never had more than one type at a time. Since I sold them, it's been at least 5 or 6 days (in game) that it carries none at all.

If they were always available, I wouldn't bother much about stashing them :s

Even worse is when you get a pack of Inertia/Gravity hounds around a second, more dangerous enemy. The hounds will slow you down and teleport you away from cover so the genuinely dangerous enemy can breathe on you, cast at you, etc.

For practical purposes, they *are* always available, right now, to deep chars. The char you posted recently has 3M money. You could buy out the alchemist 100 times if necessary, but you wouldn't ever need anywhere near that many tries.
