I'm not saying it shouldn't be changed, but you might not know that '-' twice will select the item, so at least you don't have to wander over to 'a' to choose the single thing that's there.

EDIT: Well, once at the "which item" prompt, twice overall, IYSWIM.

Good to know - that helps somewhat - though it definitely should be documented or changed back.

This is a pretty trivial bug report:

I bound a spell macro to the @ key, but then I remembered that I need to use that key for {'s. When I cleared the macro, the key stopped working. I tried to clear it several times, but the game kept reporting "found a macro" when queried, although the macro was either blank or consisted of one or more spaces. I was able to reproduce this after a reload.
        You sold a Broken Sword (1d2) (-2,-4) {average} (j) for 1 gold.

You say "Dude, the clue is in the name...".

I'll look like a post whore here, but I just really noticed this:

Why should it change? You never complained when you had to choose from one scroll/wand/potion in your inventory, now that the floor is accessed like a proper list, it *should* be this way - suppose you find a staff, and you decide to 'u'se your staff of perception (p) to ID it. You hit the next key up, and summon up a whole bunch of shit. Ooops!

Menu choices like this just add a little bit of safety netting to tired typists. Angband is hard enough without it becoming a spelling test as well!
