    Like, post a dump?*

    * Just in case you don't know: in game press Shift+C, then F. Enter. Then find the .txt file in one of the numerous Angband directories. Then you can upload it on the Ladder (self-explanatory) or post it here as attachment or wrapped in CODE-tags.
If you can convincingly pretend you're crazy, you probably are.

There's no discontinuity in difficulty level at depth 86, so I'd say just proceed with caution and don't do anything stupid. If you've reached that depth, I assume you about how to deal with summoners and how to run away, so just keep doing what you're doing and eventually you'll win. (You're not far off --- as someone mentioned, your equipment is great, so it's just a question of not dying rashly.) Be aware that Morgoth is a lot tougher than Sauron --- don't fight him when you're short on healing.

My character name is Agnor...looked inside the Angband file and only file with "Agnor" is labeled 'file' as far as file type. Not as text file. How do I post it?

Erm, did you read Narvius's earlier reply? Admittedly he put it in small print ...

Press Shift-C for the character info screen.
Then press f to create a dump.
Give it a name or use the default (press enter).
Locate the dump in the angband/lib/user directory.

my question is should the file I'm looking to post here be a 'text' file, or labeled as a 'file' file in the file type category when I'm searching for it?

I've found a file labeled "agnor", my character's name, but it isn't a text file. In the file category it is labeled 'file'. Is that the file I post here, or should I look for a file that is labeled as text?

I noticed that a lot of weapons, etc are listed as possibly having hidden powers. I found out info about the weapons on this site. But because they may be hidden-does that mean I have to use *identify* scrolls to activate those hidden powers. I've used self-knowledge potions and assumed that would mean I have all the abilities the items have.

That's exactly what it means. But the need for ?*Identify* was removed in 3.0.10.
Independent from wether the powers are known or not, they work. So yes, everything you learn by Self Knowledge works, but some artifacts have activations you cannot use until you *ID*.
If you can convincingly pretend you're crazy, you probably are.

yikes.....have a lot of *identity* scrolls to get before I really am at full potential with what I have so far.

All activations are currently available after ordinary id.

It's a terrible name. Does *ID* mean boldface emphasis on ordinary ID, or refer to the rarer scroll? Who knows. That's why I generally refer to it as *ID, removing the second *. If that scroll is kept in the game, its name needs to change.
