    That is a first for me!

    First time I do this. I start a new char and go down. I'm currently at 750 and havent recalled back to the surface yet and I think my turncount is pretty good!

    What do you think! what would be the turncount for an average player?

    With my play style, I don't dive in the beginning without going back up to the town. I don't think I'm good enough.


    Just a note on something I noticed: you are carrying bolts and wielding a bow. Bows use arrows; bolts are for crossbows. If you try to use bolts with a bow, you have to throw them instead of shoot them and none of the bow modifiers apply.

      As you read, I did not recall back. So I found a bow and bolts, and keep both until either a crossbow or arrows comes up. I don't want to drop one and find the missing part. I've been playing since 303, so I know bow go with arrow and xb with bolts. As for diving, I've only been diving since the last 3 months and now can't play otherwise.

        That's about all you can expect for a warrior. Without Detect Stairs/Doors/Traps, you can't dive very fast, and without Detect Monsters, you end up fighting a little more.

        I'd recall now and ID all that stuff. It's never too early to check the BM for ?Tele Level, and you can probably afford _Tele after selling the unwanted ego items. And you can enchant your bow, and ID the short bow, and buy some arrows.
