    I nearly put an addendum forgiving the killing of orcs and evil people and dragons. I was thinking about the wolves and wild cats and mumiaks and bears and such.

      You have a contract with Farmer Maggot to protect his crops from vermin. Slaying of non-evil creatures is simply pest-control.

            About the torches, two slots for torches annoys me to end (in variants, actually, but now it's moved to V). I'd propose something along these lines: 3000 is the full capacity of a torch, any torch in the starting equipment has 2000 charges, light radius diminishes at 1000. Since 1000 + 2000 = 3000, we live in a perfect world. (The absolute numbers are just for illustration.)

              Indeed this was my point from the beginning. It just seemed too pedantic to say with a straight face... hence the circumlocution.

                  And make sure you recycle those potion bottles as well! Seriously though, the remains of a thousand torches litter the ground behind me. Maybe we should put limitations on Dragon Breath attacks? Can't use their breath more than once a day perhaps, for fear of burning whole forests?
