Possible Maggot-related bug

This is in 3.1.0beta on WinXP, but may or may not be particular to that version.

The usually-bounteous Farmer Maggot met his demise while standing on a shop entrance, and to my dismay there was no treasure drop. I'm guessing I've stumbled upon an unanticipated case here, although I guess it's possible that Maggot's drop has been modified in this version. Thoughts?

I think inappropriately infrequent good and great drops are a known bug.

Even in 3.0.9 Maggot does not always drop anything.

I believe that a Maggot related bug is usually called the Fly.

Maggot isn't and never has been guaranteed to drop anything.

Actually, in V 3.1 it's more like inappropriately frequent {excellent} drops...

Evidently I was too hasty then. I had never known Maggot to drop nothing; had I first experienced that when he was not standing on a shop entrance, I probably would have just said, "huh, what do you know," and thought nothing of it. Live and learn. Thanks.
