Time and time again I read a an un-id'd scroll of create traps, and then step on a trap. Later, I do the same thing again. Repeat. Repeat. Until I waste an ID on this {tried} scroll.
Although the effect is obvious to the player (unless an absolute newb who has never encountered it before), the problem is that you can't inscribe the item because it's no longer in your inventory.
I come up with 3 possible solutions, I like the 2nd the best.
1st: Also easiest to implement. Just ID the scroll upon stepping on a trap, so you don't have to repeat the process again and again.
2nd: Change the spell. Rather than placing the traps surrounding the player, increase the number of traps, and randomly place them throughout the current 'trap detection' area, with only 1 being placed immediately adjacent to the character.
3rd: Just get rid rid of it or change it into something else. Maybe some type of annoying, rather than deadly, summon. Novice mages might be nice, since they can inflict a few trap-like effects and still pose a minor threat to low level characters.
