#'s here all the way. Even the variants were solid walls are working under Vista, I change them back.
Do people prefer # or solid walls in Angband?

<heresy> I wonder how angband would look with nethack-style line walls... pretty snazzy, I imagine. </heresy>Bands, / Those funny little plans / That never work quite right.

SDL seems nice in some ways, but I wish I could get it to "save" my screen layout. I like to play with messages, monster-list and item-list in subwindows, and everytime I fire it up I have to create the 3 subwindows and place/size them. I didn't see any commandline options... am I missing something? One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

When I play on a pc, I prefer the solid walls. On the mac, I prefer the number signs. The mac renders text differently. Go figure.Comment

Well these wouldn't be exactly equivalent to nethack walls (i.e., they don't span the entire width or length of a tile), would they? One could also muss with color. And Un manages to press on despite a bit of confusion b/w terrain and non-terrain.
Still, I suppose it's not worth exploring. After all, a bad idea costs nothing.Bands, / Those funny little plans / That never work quite right.
