Ring of Light

Anybody else think the Ring of Light should activate for something?
Either Illuminate or light damage (similar to rings of fire/ice/acid/lightning)
The + to search seems superfluous and fairly useless.

Illuminate would be nice, I agree. It is definitely pretty much ignored the instant I see one, if it had illuminate and I didnt crucially need the ring slot, would wear it until get a phial or the spell instead of another semiuseful ring.

I might keep it in the pack for light hounds or other light breathers.

Being blind is bad for small casting types and it usually takes a while to find resist blindness. Even blackguards lean heavily on fighting spells in the early middle game (level 20 - pre stat gain, but after you get a second hit with your first attack spell)
